Maurizio Savoncelli Chairman of the National Council of Surveyors and Graduate Surveyors
Born in 1959, is Chairman of the National Council of Surveyors and Graduate Surveyors (CNGeGL). A member of the Board of Surveyors of the Province of La Spezia, he is an expert in building, fire prevention and urban planning. The principal of his own professional practice, he began his career in 1982 as a designer and works director of new residential buildings and renovation, extension, recovery and maintenance projects for public residential buildings. He is a member of the Building Commission of the Municipality of Vernazza (SP) as expert in Natural Beauty and an ordinary member of the Building Commission of the Municipality of La Spezia. As Technical Consultant of the city’s court, he works in the field of civil law, real estate transactions and the bankruptcy section. In parallel with his business activities, he has also been involved in supporting the profession. He was Treasurer of the Board of Surveyors of La Spezia from 1987 to 1995, when he was appointed chairman. He left the position in 2004 when he was appointed a National Councillor. During the same period he gained administrative experience. From 2007 to 2012 he was appointed Technical Officer for the Municipality of La Spezia, with responsibility for Territorial Planning, Building and Large-scale Infrastructures. He was reappointed to the position in 2012 (with further responsibilities for Coastline and Heritage), then resigned in 2013 when he was elected Chairman of CNGeGL.
